Most teachers have experienced heavy workloads that led to a string of long stressful days which, in turn, created a need for recharges of the mind and spirit. That is why this teacher greatly appreciated a mid-October break this year. The Fall Break consisted of four days. Day two required a morning spent at a cross country meet. That meant that a desired three day backpacking trip in the Smokies was out of the question.
Even though several things interrupted or changed the daily activities, the quest for relaxing the mind while exploring the heart amid some natural beauty was accomplished. I must add that it was incredibly rewarding to spend some time with loved ones who happened to be in the same place. Here are some of the photos taken during those four days.
